Cyber Security DLP/ SecOps Analyst (MS Purview) - £70K (London)

We are looking for a Cyber Security DLP & SecOps Analyst to join our Operational Security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and improving Data Loss Prevention (MS Purview DLP) systems, investigate alerts, and work with teams across Cyber Security, IT, Legal, and Compliance to reduce data security risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

What you'll do:

DLP Monitoring & Investigation

  • Monitor DLP alerts and security events.
  • Investigate alerts to identify genuine risks or false positives.
  • Identify potential data leaks or unauthorised data transfers.
Incident Response & Reporting
  • Support investigations into data loss incidents.
  • Document findings and recommend remediation actions.
  • Produce reports for security teams, management, and compliance stakeholders.
Policy & System Management
  • Maintain and improve DLP policies and rules.
  • Work with business teams to ensure data protection policies are effective and practical.
  • Identify trends in data handling and security risks.
  • Recommend improvements to security processes, tools, and automation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging threats and data protection practices.
What you'll bring:
  • Experience in Data Loss Prevention, Security Operations, or Cyber Security monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security tools or cloud security.
  • Knowledge of insider risk, digital forensics, or behavioural analytics.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Security+, CySA+, CCSP, CISSP, Microsoft SC-400 / SC-500).
  • Experience working in a SOC or operational security environment.
  • Right to work in the UK
