Consultant Palliative Care (American Board) -Dubai

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Palliative Care (American Board) to join our client's team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in palliative care and hold a valid American Board certification in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultation and advice to patients and families on pain management, symptom control, and psychosocial support during end-of-life care
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans for patients with complex needs
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients
  • Monitor and coordinate care for patients in hospice settings, long-term care facilities, and home care settings
  • Educate and train healthcare professionals and other staff on palliative care principles and practices
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of palliative care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and progress
  • Provide guidance and support to patients and families in making difficult medical decisions, including end-of-life choices
Requirements:
  • Valid American Board certification in Palliative Care
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant in Palliative Care
  • The candidate must hold an American Board, Canadian Board qualification.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
