Join us, where opportunities grow naturally.<br><br>The purpose of this position is to create content and marketing collateral across a variety of print and digital media to share public information and enhance the City of Cedar Hill brand. The Communications Specialist assists with managing the City of Cedar Hill\'s website and social media accounts and creates digital and print content, including video, photography, graphic designs, and newsletters consistent with the City\'s voice and brand standards. <br><br> <strong>How You Add Value</strong><br> <br><ul><li>Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.</li><li>Writes and edits content for a variety of communications media including newsletters, press releases, website, social media, emails, brochures, flyers, and reports.</li><li>Manages City of Cedar Hill social media accounts, including creating, editing and publishing daily content consistent with the City of Cedar Hill\'s voice and brand.</li><li>Manages City of Cedar websites, creating and updating written content, photos, videos, and graphics.</li><li>Creates a variety of graphic designs for print and digital communications.</li><li>Develops and executes marketing and communication campaigns to address specific goals and initiatives.</li><li>Stays up to date on marketing and social media trends and recommends new approaches and initiatives. Analyzes social media performance metrics and makes recommendations for improvement.</li><li>Attends various meetings, programs, and events throughout the city to capture photo and video content for the City\'s communication platforms.</li><li>Provides support for a variety of community engagement programs and activities.</li><li>Provide marketing and graphic design support for city departments and community partners as needed.</li><li>Regular attendance required.</li></ul><br> <strong>What You Bring to the Role</strong><br> <br><ul><li>Work requires broad knowledge in a field such as Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.
