Position Overview

We are seeking a forward-thinking executive level Township Administration Manager to lead, manage and supervise our day-to-day operations. Reporting directly to the Township Supervisor, you will serve as a key advisor to the Board of Trustees. This role is perfect for a leader who values organizational stability and wants to mentor a dedicated team in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Provide executive leadership for all Township departments and programs.
  • Foster a positive, service-oriented workplace culture that encourages growth and accountability.
  • Coach and mentor department heads, ensuring a professional and collaborative atmosphere.

Governance & Board Relations

  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Township Supervisor and Board of Trustees.
  • Prepare agendas and data-driven insights for bimonthly Board meetings.
  • Ensure the seamless implementation of Board directives and policy improvements.

Operations & Finance

  • Oversee the development and administration of the Township budget.
  • Manage procurement, vendor relationships, and grant administration.
  • Ensure all operations remain compliant with Illinois statutory requirements.

Community Engagement

  • Represent the Township in partnerships with local governments and regional agencies.
  • Strengthen community impact through transparent and effective public communication.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social or Human Service Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
  • Required: Significant professional experience in administration, social service, public health, education, or non-profit leadership with a proven track record of supervising teams.
  • Preferred: Master’s or advanced degree (MPA or similar).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Illinois township governance and human services.
