Responsibilities: 

  • Effectuer des appels de recouvrement afin d’obtenir une entente de paiement ou une confirmation de paiement
  • Assurer le suivi des comptes relativement aux engagements non respectés
  • Maintenir les dossiers compte-client à jour afin de s’assurer que les renseignements sont exacts et actuels
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec ses collègues dans la gestion des faillites, reprise de finance, fermeture de compteur pour non-paiement, les fraudes, les comptes clients transférés à l’agence de recouvrement, etc.
  • Traiter divers dossiers efficacement avec nos contacts internes et externes : superviseurs, sous-contractants, syndic de faillite, gestionnaire de propriété, etc.
  • Appliquer les politiques, les procédures et les meilleures pratiques de recouvrement en tout temps
  • Toutes autres tâches connexes

Summary

The collection agent is responsible for following up with clients with outstanding balances, responding to inquiries, and negotiating payment arrangements.


Your main responsibilities would be:

  • Initiate collections calls and negotiate payment agreements with clients, while always ensuring professional customer service
  • Monitor accounts for outstanding commitments
  • Maintain client account records as to ensure information is accurate and current
  • Works closely with colleagues in managing the closing of meters for non-payment, fraud, accounts transferred to collection agency, etc.
  • Apply collection policies, procedures, and best practices at all times
  • All other related tasks related to Credit and Collections

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Bilingualism required (English and French)
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Resourceful and solution-oriented
  • Team player
  • Demonstrated professional rigor
  • Have good organizational
  • Analytical capacity
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of the rules regarding collection and access to information legislation and privacy will be considered an asset
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in collecting accounts receivable will be considered an asset
