Description

Engineering position that requires real-world software development experience building and shipping apps on Apple platforms. You will be fully immersed in the platform, living on Apple's developer tools, exploring APIs as they evolve, and defining best practices. You will work directly with developers, influencing their app’s architecture, user experience and development practices, helping them ship modern business apps leveraging the latest Apple technologies and frameworks. Your work will significantly impact how businesses build software for Apple devices. You will play a key role in shaping the Design Lab methodology, processes, and programs that support Apple's customers and partners throughout their app development journey, partnering with the team’s Design Lead to elevate our team’s initiatives as well as the customer and developer experience. This role offers an incredible opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered business apps, and help define what AI-enabled business applications look like on Apple platforms. Engage with C-level executives and decision makers to translate technical possibilities into business value, championing the innovation that the Apple technology stack makes possible. Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders at Apple on initiatives that accelerate customers’ digital transformation. Create and lead presentations to large audiences, both technical and non-technical. Opportunity to embrace constant growth and learning as technologies and business challenges evolve. Support EMEIA business and education customers and partners, with some travel required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Recent, hands-on experience building and deploying multiple apps on Apple platforms
  • Deep expertise in Apple's core frameworks, including SwiftUI and UIKit, and Apple's developer tools.
  • Deep understanding of the software development and release life-cycle
  • Understanding of business processes, app lifecycle, and product management
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML developer frameworks, as well as understanding of alternative tools and technologies, active engagement with AI tools, and a demonstrated interest in their potential for business applications.
  • Problem-solver who thrives on complex challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced and comfortable presenting to both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Proactive individual who's very comfortable driving independent work, exploring solutions, and delivering results.
  • Ability to quickly understand needs and evaluate potential solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience
  • macOS and visionOS development experience is a plus
  • Experience with large, complex enterprise use cases is preferred
  • Ability to build intuitive user interfaces and optimise user experience, in line with Apple’s HIG and design patterns.
  • Experience with development best-practices for performance optimisation, security, accessibility and app distribution.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to communicate Apple’s platform message
  • Creative thinker who envisions, explores and clearly communicates innovative use cases that inspire customers and developers alike.
  • Track record of building intuitive interfaces aligned with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail, and high standards for quality, with a passion for building polished, engaging apps
