You'll work alongside skilled professionals to create safe, high-quality roads that keep people and commerce moving. Your responsibilities include: Championing Safety: Consistently adhere to all safety protocols and company policies. Use the correct tools, equipment, and protective gear to ensure a secure website for yourself and your crew. Supporting Your Team: Collaborate with managers and co-workers in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Communicate clearly, solve problems, and help maintain a positive team dynamic. Executing Project Tasks: Assist with shoveling, raking, and wheelbarrow operation. You'll help signal operators, facilitate the movement of materials, and follow directions for each unique project or job site. Operating Tools & Equipment: You may be called upon to run small power tools (such as a jackhammer) and handle traffic control devices like signs, cones, and barricades. Material Handling: Lift, carry, and position construction materials, tools, and supplies for maximum efficiency and safety. Site Preparation: Dig, spread, and level construction materials to prepare and maintain job sites. Problem Reporting: Proactively communicate any concerns or issues to your manager to keep projects running smoothly.
