We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Airport Operations Executive Analyst to support the Transportation Research Board Safety Management Systems for Small Hub, Non-Hub, and General Aviation Airports.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to directly contribute to the advancement of aviation safety and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of airport operations, safety management systems, and aviation industry standards. This role requires expertise in analyzing and implementing safety protocols, engaging with stakeholders, and providing strategic insights to enhance airport safety and operational readiness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provides information and evaluation of airport operations and business challenges.
  • Evaluates costs and benefits of solution alternatives in civil and commercial airport context including compliance costs and supporting personnel, process, systems, and related burdens
  • Interprets airport regulations in operational and business terms including workforce training, organized labor, and vocational programs.
  • Provides interface to engage leaders at civil airports to facilitate research
  • Conduct assessments of airport operations to identify safety risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor compliance with industry standards and regulations, including FAA and TRB guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings, recommendations, and progress.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in aviation
  • Demonstrated practical experience in airport executive leadership


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership and participation in relevant professional organization
  • Demonstrated ability to engage aviation workforce, the press and the public
