We are seeking an Advisor, Energy Conservation Business Planning to support the strategy, policy, and execution of energy conservation initiatives across Ontario. In this role, you will contribute to regulatory filings, program planning, and analytical modelling that shape how energy conservation programs are designed, delivered, and evaluated.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide policy and strategic support for Energy Conservation–related filings with the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), including drafting and supporting regulatory evidence.

  • Partner with Energy Conservation program teams to support the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of conservation programs.

  • Build, maintain, and enhance the Demand Side Management (DSM) planning model used for program design, forecasting, and regulatory submissions.

  • Support the implementation of OEB decisions by assessing impacts and recommending practical next steps.

  • Apply project management skills to help ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Track and forecast budgets related to regulatory and partner activities.

  • Lead or contribute to research on industry best practices, policy trends, and emerging approaches in energy conservation.

  • Represent the organization in external studies, working groups, or committees related to energy conservation.

  • Collaborate with leaders to track commitments, action items, and initiatives, supporting accountability and follow‑through.

What You Bring

Required qualifications:

  • A university degree in a related field (such as Business, Economics, Environmental Studies, or similar).

  • At least 4 years of progressive business experience , ideally related to energy conservation or a regulated environment.

  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to develop well‑reasoned recommendations.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , along with strong skills in Word and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • A team‑oriented approach and strong relationship‑building abilities.

Preferred qualifications (assets):

  • Familiarity with Ontario’s energy conservation policy and regulatory framework.

  • Experience in Demand Side Management (DSM) policy, regulation, evaluation, or program design and implementation.

Working Conditions

For Ontario Applicants only: $86,000 - $95,000/year. The final Compensation will be settled based on the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
